Help us convince New Jersey’s ice rinks to allocate one hour of ice time per week, in season, to Disabled Hockey.
WHAT IS EveryBODY SKATES NEW JERSEY?
During Hockey Weekend Across America, January 29-31, 2010, a group of disabled athletes will visit all 54 New Jersey ice rinks in just 54 hours on a mission to raise awareness and change perceptions. The group includes disabled hockey players of all kinds and is led by a pair of brothers from New Jersey who each coach disabled teams in the area.

Please let these children skate it gives them so much happiness and really lifts their spirits mentally and physically! I have witnessed the joy, the smiles and all the rewards hockey brings to their lives.

Living in an era of “everyone being equal regardless of gender, race or abilities, etc.” hockey for all players should be included.

These kids are great kids and just a joy to be around. Hockey lights up their faces. Give them some time and let them play. Watch your own heart grow in the process.

week it’s the best thing in her life. Please let

This is a no-brainer…
Everyone should have an opportunity to skate! I am involved in the Roy Hobbs Foundation which helps special needs children participate in playing baseball. I see the joy in their faces when they are playing and think that this is another great opportunity to share a gift!!

lets be thankful we have healthy children and allow those who do not enjoy skating for one hour donate the rink you will also enjoy once you witness the joy you bring to others

I support the cause. It does a lot of good for those who need it the most.
My brother had down’s syndrome and passed away two years ago. He loved hockey and some of my favorite memories were cheering on the Devil’s together. I absolutely support the idea of setting aside ice time for all who love the sport regardless of their life situation.
I support the everybody skate program. My son was a mentor a few years ago and found it very rewarding to help teach these very special kids to skate and play hockey.
This wonderful experience benefits not only the player but the whole family.
Tremendous idea!!! If every rink in our area just donated a sheet for 1 hour a week for the ESNJ program, that would be a great step. Think of how many times you walk into an arena and see down time on a sheet of ice with the lights on. I am all for it.
